Traditional Mediums & Illustration
This section is dedicated to traditional mediums. Most of my work starts with traditional medium. Whether it be conceptualizing an idea or creating a stand alone piece, I have a deep affection for the analog arts. The pictures range from acrylic, to polymer clay, gouache, pencil, marker and color pencil, and India ink.
Duncan and the Blueberry Challenge
This is a children's book I illustrated. My mother-in-law the late and wonderful Carol Spreitzer wrote the story for my son, and I illustrated and printed it for our family and friends. The art was done all with natural media: India ink, marker, color pencil, and a little bit of acrylic paint.
Gutter Covers
This was a project for a gutter company with proprietary designs and technology for anti-gutter clogging systems. I created the three dimensional model of the covers, water, gutters and leaves. Houdini was used for water simulation and modeling, and Modo was used for rendering.
The Arlington Cardinals
Below is the designs for the wrestling singlets and fight shorts of the Arlington Cardinals Wrestling Club. Zbrush, a 3D sculpting package was used to put together the full figure "Cardinal Man" logo on the back, while Photoshop was used to create the rest.
The Wrestling Academy
These images were created for The Wrestling Academy. The work included concept art, modeling, texturing and lighting the character, as well as working with the manufacturer of the apparel. Below are the patterns for the wrestling singlets, T-shirts and fight shorts.
Hydra Tank for Disney Imagineering
A friend works for Disney Imagineering. Ocassionally he asks me to create a 3D mock up of 2D concepts he has created. The images below are of a Hydra Tank that I rapid modeled, textured, and rendered in one day. I am under the impression that this model was to be used for a Hydra Poster at Disney Land within a Captain America ride. Unfortunately I do not have permission to show the original concept I built this from.
